Overview
The Maze Runner by James Dashner is an action-packed book, full of suspense along with a twist of romance. These aspects, along with violence, revenge, insanity, heroism, and a sense of hopelessness, ultimately lead up to comradeship, which is the sole moral of this book. The fact that so many themes were present in this single novel at once makes the book that much more interesting to read, compared to as if it had only one or two themes like an ordinary book. Another reason why The Maze Runner is so engaging, is that it takes place in dystopian society, whereas the majority of the books I have read in the past were non-fiction. Being one of the first dystopian books I had ever read, it truly was an intense experience. While reading the book, I truly felt like I was able to relate to some characters and also felt quite sympathetic as well, due to the unfair hardships they were all going through. The Maze Runner genuinely inspired me to start reading more fiction books now instead of non-fiction as I always did in the past. Even though fiction books will not give you real information about the world, they can still provide important morals, as well as provide amazing entertainment! Overall, this was a captivating book and I would recommend it to all my friends!
